Electrical switchboards

Something's lost power, a breaker's tripped, or you need to find the main switch for a specific part of the house.

There are three switchboards.

1. Front door board (padlocked)

In the bushy section next to the front door. It's padlocked — the key lives in the "Wazz box" above the fridge.

This board covers kitchen appliances, the bidet toilet, and the mains (non-battery) power for the server rack.

Known fault: kitchen loses power

There's a recurring fault (being looked into) where the second-last switch in this board trips. When it does, the kitchen appliances, the bidet toilet, and the server rack's mains power all drop out.

To restore power, flip that switch back to the I-ON position. If it trips again immediately, don't keep resetting it — that usually means something's actually wrong downstream. Leave it off and get an electrician to look at it.

2. Garage board

Immediately next to the interior garage door.

3. Solar battery board

Above the solar battery stack. This is the board that stays live during a grid outage — see Power outages.
